My mom, dad, and I were really excited for the tour, but unfortunately we did not enjoy ourselves. They story telling was dragged out and difficult to follow a long. The tour lasted an hour over the time posted, and most people didn't make it to the final speakeasy. We didn't have lanterns provided for this tour, and the last spot was actually very dark and more light would have been appreciated. A side note - the stories can be pretty graphic. Our guide asked what our comfort level was before the tour started, but I wish there was a disclaimer about stories including suicide. Overall I would not recommend this tour, unless the story telling was improved.

Wow, I’m really sorry my tour didn’t live up to your expectations. I do advertise it as a 2.5 hour tour of ghost stories, so if it is mislabeled or misleading somewhere, please let me know where and I’ll make sure I fix it right away. I know our tour finished a few minutes over time as it took a little longer than I expected to get through a few places, but if I recall we were pretty close to 9:30pm at our last story. The tours do go into the night time, and I apologize that it was a too dark for you. I normally carry a lantern with me, but both my primary and secondary lanterns decided they were kaput so I brought flashlights for the darker places. I’ve never offered to have lanterns for each person on the tour, though that would make a neat addition, so thank you for the idea. I suppose I could have more of a warning about content of the stories on the tour, and I’m sorry if any of them offended you. I can’t change the past, but I don’t want to hide it either, so I apologize if anything was portrayed in an insensitive way. If I can adjust something to fix that, I’d love to know what it was. Again, I’m sorry the tour wasn’t what you expected.

Chris (the tour guide) did an awesome job narrating the stories of historical events that occurred in Golden. It was very interesting info and the tour guide was super friendly and funny! I think I might have even caught a picture of a strange light anomaly by the old trestle bridge. I would totally recommend trying this tour out =)
