Loved the fact that this was a small group, there were 10 of us in total! We were a group of 4 together, we got picked up on time at the Drury Inn in Flagstaff. Our guide for the day, J.R., was great, full of stories and information about Arizona and the Grand Canyon! The 4 of us choose the helicopter package, which really was amazing to see the Grand Canyon from above. The only wish we had was that our pilot had engaged with us other than saying hello and introducing himself then asking if we were doing ok a couple of times, he didn't do any other talking, it was just music and a narrative on the headsets. But the view was fantastic!
After that it was off to the Grand Canyon, J.R. took us to many spots all just a beautiful as the next, and a nice surprise from him, he had a telescope and met us down one of the trails and showed us lots of cool stuff looking through the telescope! The place he took us for lunch had something for everyone and was very well run, and the food was good.
J.R. did not hesitate to stop on the side of the road when he saw something cool he thought we would like and let us all have a look again with the telescope We saw many different areas throughout the South Rim each one as breathtaking as the next.
We would and will highly recommend this tour and also J.R., there was never a dull moment with him!
Great trip and a wonderful guide that knew so much of the history. Roza was able to answer any question we had about the area. He kept us entertained! Even though the helicopter trip was cancelled because of weather, he made the IMAX theater an adventure for us.
Our tour-guide was extraordinarily informed about the Grand Canyon and its history. There was a huge input of interesting information. The helicopter flight was awsome. Never seen such pictures and colours before. Visiting the Grand Canyon is one Thing everybody should have done in his life.
