Our signature flightseeing and glacier landing tour, includes 30 mins of flightseeing and 30 mins landed at 3 Glacier areas including on the glacier itself. This tour includes an alpine landing where you will have 30 mins to see the grand size of the 5 mile wide and 29 mile long Knik Glacier with a birds eye view. Your 2nd landing takes you to a 100 foot ice wall where you may even be able to see the massive ice calve . After 30 minutes exploring you go to the glacier landing right in the middle of Knik Glacier, where you can get out of the helicopter and spend about 30 minutes exploring ancient ice. See the azure blue melt pools (summer), crevasses and ice formations created by water, wind and the sun. During your flight seeing, keep your eyes open for the area wildlife to include Moose, Mountain Goats, Dall Sheep, Bears and even wolf on occasion!

CHECK IN is 45 minutes prior to your scheduled departure time. If you arrive late, your tour may be shortened or rescheduled and additional cost may be applicable.
SERVICE ANIMALS are permitted if they are secured in a crate only. Call for specifications
Restaurant Service is available on site May 1 - September 30. Snacks are available year round for purchase.
WINTER TOURS - October - April -we are unable to land on top of the glacier due to snow cover. We will land next to the glaciers near the massive ice formations
Guests 300lbs or over require our Astar Helicopter to fly. This is not available for every time/day.Please call direct to assure we have that helicopter available to accommodate prior to booking.
Comfort surcharge applied for anyone over 250lbs. This allows us to block out an additional seat for safety and comfort
Alaska Helicopter Tours has Robinson 44s and ASTAR helicopters. We never guarantee the type of helicopter you will be flying in unless a private helicopter option is purchased. Parties with multiple separate bookings, or parties over 2 passengers may be in 2 helicopters, but will always be together for the tour.
NOT PERMITTED: DRONES-SMOKING ITEMS (VAPES/LIGHTERS/E-CIG)-FIREARMS-BAGS/BACKPACKS/LOOSE STRAPS - please leave all bags in the vehicle or we do have lockers to store them

I flew with the best pilot, Shane. Shane went above and beyond to make sure every passenger had an incredible experience. It was the smoothest helicopter ride I’ve ever been on. I could not recommend him enough.

I can't say enough about the team at Alaska Helicopter Tours. My girlfriend and I were in Anchorage for just one day and had booked the glacier landing and dog sled tour. Unfortunately, a couple of hours before our tour, the dog sled portion had to be canceled due to weather conditions at the camp. I had been planning to propose to my girlfriend during our glacier landing, so I was quite nervous that the entire tour might be canceled. When we arrived, the team informed us that it was safe to fly out. Andrea kindly rebooked us for the three-stop glacier tour, allowing my proposal plans to continue. Additionally, Andrea, who also happens to be a professional photographer, posed as a solo tourist during our tour and captured some incredible photos of my now fiancée and me. Our pilot was excellent and gave us a beautiful tour of the landscape, even spotting a group of four moose. The AHT team went above and beyond, creating a memory that my fiancée and I will never forget. I can't recommend them enough!

We had such a wonderful time! Adam was our pilot and he was very knowledgeable about the area and gave us plenty of time at each stop to enjoy the views and take lots of pictures. The area is beautiful with so many breathtaking views. We were impressed with this company from check in, safety instructions, helping us in the helicopter and providing a safe eventful day! I will highly recommend this tour to all my friends.
