My kids, ages 16 & 13 did beginner surf lessons with Lucas at the Surf Shack. (We did family lessons a few years ago with Surf Shack & the kids wanted a refresher) They thoroughly enjoyed their time with Lucas and found him to be very helpful, fun and "chill". They said he taught them lots and was a great instructor and "awesome"! Thanks Lucas!!!

It was a ton of fun to learn surfing with Lucas! He was warm and friendly, helpful and patient. We felt relaxed and learnt with out own paces, and that worked very well. My wife and I had never been on a surf board before, but both of us were able to stand up on the first try in water! Couldn't have a better feeling of that moment. Lucas delivered the basics of surfing in a way very easy for us to understand and follow: the position on the board, steps to stand up, moves of position on the board for maneuvers and controls. Also very helpful, he taught us how to watch the waves and what waves were good for us. What we should watch for waters and which water suits our level. Strongly recommended!

I had never surfed before. Lucas was a great and patient teacher. Great with instructions and his personal experiences. I was up on my board the first time out, and was able to catch so many amazing waves. Definitely recommend this as an amazing thing to do while in Kihei. Unfortunately my lesson was on my last day, otherwise I would have been out there everyday! Thanks Lucas
