Haleakala is known for rapidly changing weather conditions and dense clouds and rain are common. As a result, clear viewing of the sunrise is not guaranteed, and the tour operates rain or shine. Refunds will be granted only when the tour is cancelled for safety reasons.
The high altitude at the summit area may complicate health conditions and breathing difficulties. Elderly visitors, pregnant women, young children, and those with respiratory or heart conditions should consult their doctor prior to touring. Walk slowly and drink water to avoid dehydration. If you have gone scuba diving, you should wait at least 72 hours before going on this tour.

Convenient pickup. Drivers are helpful and considerate. So lucky to see sunset and moon rise at the same time.

5 and a half hour round trip to the top of Haleakala. There was enough time - almost 90 minutes at the top to take in the views and do a small hike. Views would have been nicer if there was no cloud cover which was the case when we had done the sunrise tour some years back.

We had a great experience with Mitchell, who was very friendly and informative throughout the entire drive. The sunset was stunning and he took us directly to a prime viewing area. We are so glad we didn’t drive ourselves, as some parts of the roads don’t have railings and there are sometimes random cows on the road. Don drove us back to our hotel and was just as friendly and kind! Highly recommend
