I totally booked evening sunset cruise spur of the moment, like at 6am the day of, and it was fantastic way to spend the day. 3 to 8pm. Would love to spend all day off the water of the Keys.
Great time Snorkeling off of Key West. Very helpful and polite staff - Captain Mary & first mate Vikas
They provide all the gear: flippers, goggles and floating pool noodle (some places make you buy the mask and snorkels). Also lots of fun with fellow guests, there were only 5 passengers total (including myself) so we all hung out together, very nice.
If you're a man with a beard (like me) had to shave off top 1/8in of mustache to fix the seal with snorkels goggles. I also used some silicon/vasaline gunk and had some nose plugs to make sure didn't habe any trouble with mustache messing seal of goggles - causing seal to break and salt water to flood into my nose this time. For my first times snorkeling trips it was great, lot of fun with crew and other guests on the Boat too.
While Snorkeling around reefs even got to see some sea turtles and Vikas was kind enough to catch a video for everyone. No sharks or sting rays though, but I will have to go back again to look for them.
Beautiful reefs and lots of fish and life down in the water to float over for a hour and enjoy. If I'm back in Miami Keys again would definitely go back with them to that spot! We did some kayaking around a mangrove island too after Snorkeling before sailing back to the harbor and watching sunset.
Mary was a great Captain, sailed us around all day and kept us on track itineraries going, very friendly too. Vikas lead us in Snorkeling and Kayaking activities, very helpful and guided us around water to look at flora and fauna.
It was a really calm day, not much wind for the sailboat, but also crew said since it was so calm we went off to a more secluded Reef only accessible when waters more calm!
