Went on trip with family. Kayak part of the trip was fun. Hike to the waterfall was like the Batman Death March. Was long and hazardous… had to cross multiple streams with slippery rocks. I unfortunately slipped and fell on one stream crossing and tore a ligament in my hip that took four months to heal. The potential problems in the hike portion of the trip should be warned about.

We are sorry to hear that you got injured on the hiking portion of the tour. We do have it stated that you will be crossing multiple river crossing with loose rocks at the bottom of river bed. The weather here on Kauai can change at any time and make trail conditions change and be more slippery than other days. On most days this trail is considered a moderate trail for an average physically fit person. We are unsure of what exactly happened on the trail the day you joined our tour being this review is 4 months after. We understand your frustration and apologize to hear that you had a difficult trek. If you would like to further discuss, please call our office. Again our apologies that you sustained an injury on tour and hope that you are well.

Our family of four, mom/dad and 14 yd old twins did this event. It was a great afternoon adventure with a guide who was friendly, knowledgeable and who shared lots of local information about the area as well as the island in general. The kayaking was more tiring than what I thought it would be, but we had to fight the windy conditions. The river crossings and the hike were not difficult and a lot of fun. And it was nice to relax in the waterfall pool and eat fresh pineapple. Have some Aleve ready afterwards because your arms/shoulders will get a good workout in the kayaks. But this is an activity I’d encourage others to do.
