We went to pier 39 Hard Rock Cafe in San Francisco U.S.A on 17th June 2019 if I had not been to other Hard Rock Cafe`s i.e Miami Las Vegas E.T.C I would never go to one again. One star is to meany for this one.. We had to wait over 30 mins for our breakfast , It was all cold eggs, bacon, The potatoes had been kept in a hot plate and were wrinkled grey and chewy and also cold. The coffee?? was stewed and cold As a Chef I would have been ashamed to have served this I don`t know what to call it. When we complained all I got was a silly grin and no comment. The four of us left still hungry and very disappointed.

I went to this establishment with work colleagues twice on both occasions I ordered a milkshake with churros. Each time I was given the wrong milkshake every time but did not make much of a fuss as I understand this can happen especially when it's busy. I received my meal after my colleagues had finished eating. I was charged for my colleague's meals as well as my own even though I was given a paper receipt containing only my order. The staff were lovely and accommodating, however they were very busy and the pricing was very confusing and not very clearly laid out.

I was there a couple of weeks ago on vacation. I have been to 30 plus Hard Rocks around the world and this was one of the worst experiences I have had. I expect it to be busy and over price and very much a tourist trap, but I go because it is my thing to have one meal and buy a shot glass or beer glass in every city I visit with a Hard Rock. I went with my two children midafternoon (after the lunch rush and prior to the dinner rush) although we got a table right away the actual service time took forever, and our server seemed to be very stressed out and unable get to all his tables. Once we finally ordered and got drinks refills did not come, food arrived but we had no napkins, silverware and needed drinks. I had purchased the beer with the glass and in my past experiences (I have over 30 shot glasses in addition to beer glasses) the server brings a clean glass to go with a bag at the end of the meal. When I asked, I was told after I paid, I had to go to the gift shop to exchange, not convenient but fine. I got there waited in line to exchange a glass I had already purchases and then got told the paid receipt was not good enough I had to show the detail receipt which was at the table (because I guess the obviously used glass with an paid credit card receipt was not enough). Lucky the service was also slow to clear the table so my son was able to go back and get the full receipt so we could do the exchange and get out after a 2-hour lunch stop. I mentioned my frustration to multiple staff who seemed not to care. I saw other customers complaining about the slow service, but no one seemed to think it was an issue. This is one Hard Rock I would recommend skipping on your next trip.
