We took several walking tours across the south, and this was our favorite. Partly that's because of the location (it's hard to beat historic Savannah) and partly because of the great guide.
The guides clearly spend time learning and studying the history of the city and the area. We enjoyed the overview of each location, including the history of the immediate location, the city, and the larger area. There is a lot of history over time, and the guides walked us through much of it, and fielded many questions. We learned a lot about the architecture, the plants, and of course, the history.
We went as a family (two adults and a 10-year-old). Our 10yo kept up just fine, and took in a lot of the history. The content is pretty family friendly. I think very young kids would find this long and might not enjoy the history as much.
This tour really brought historic Savannah to life for us, highly recommended!
