Buzz through Charlotte’s hopping Uptown neighborhood on this Segway tour of North Carolina’s biggest city! NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY (but participants must weigh at least 100 lbs. and can't be expecting a baby). We thoroughly and carefully train each guest BEFORE the 1.5 tour begins. It's FUN and EASY! Follow your local guide as you glide throughout the city, viewing our unique architecture, art, parks, and historic spaces. Our city has a fascinating history, and you can see it all UP CLOSE on a Segway! Choose either a 1.5- hr or 2-hour ride (the longer tour has limited availability). This is a GREAT, POPULAR tour of Uptown Charlotte, however we are often unable to accommodate guests who arrive late. PROMPT ARRIVAL IS A MUST FOR THIS TOUR. THANK YOU!!!

  • Not recommended for travelers with spinal injuries
  • Not recommended for pregnant travelers
  • Suitable for all physical fitness levels
  • MUST BE ON TIME FOR THIS TOUR! Arrive 30-45 min. before start time for training!!!
  • Minimum suggested age is 12 years old, but MUST weigh at least 100 lbs.
  • For participants under 18, they must be with a parent or responsible party 21 yrs or older and have a signed waiver from a parent
  • Minimum weight is 100lbs so the Segway computer can respond to your movement.
  • Maximum weight is 280lbs.
  • Dress code: Preferably wear comfortable closed toe shoes (though not required), weather appropriate layers, and no hats under helmets. Gloves recommended on cold days
  • No pregnant travelers are allowed
  • NOT recommended for those who might struggle in VERY HOT weather.
  • NOT ALLOWED FOR PREGNANT PARTICIPANTS!
  • NOT recommended for those who've had somewhat recent hip or knee replacements
  • NOT recommended for those with unpredictable blood sugar issues.
  • Participants must be able to stand for 1.5 -2 hrs and be able to climb stairs unaided.

We had a blast on our Charlotte Segway Tour with James. My family was apprehensive at first, especially after watching the safety video. But all I can say is, trust the process and the professionals! You will not regret this tour. I had no idea riding a Segway was so easy and so much fun. James was an excellent tour guide and shared so many interesting facts about the area. We will definitely be back again.

THE BEST way to see Charlotte!!!! James was great, shared so much knowledge you felt you knew Charlotte by the end of the tour, enough to navigate solo to the places you want to see when you visit, and getting knowledge about the places is valuable. Safe, segways were fun to use, I'm 50ish & had no issues. I'd do again 5⭐️

The Segway is easy to learn and master. Covered a lot of area in the time allocated and had a terrific guide who had extensive knowledge of the city.
