Our group boarded the trolley eager to learn about the history of Savannah. We sat in the front of the trolley because we wanted to be sure not to miss any of the interesting facts we would be told. I would like to say I enjoyed the tour, that our tour guide was well informed about the history of Savannah, unfortunately we could understand very little of what he said. He spoke very quickly and mumbled his words, but the main issue was that the clarity of the speaker in the trolley was awful. Multiple passengers let the driver know that we could not understand what he was saying. He tried turning the speaker up, but it did not help. Disgusted, We finally just got off the trolley and walked around the city. At the end of the day, a lovely woman picked us and she was so easy to understand, her speaker was crystal clear. She told us about the dinosaur and crystal exhibit at the Marriott which we did the next day. It was unfortunate that we didn't start the day with her.

We are sorry to hear that you had difficulty hearing and understanding your first guide. We will need to figure out what is going on with the PA system in that trolley. We are glad you did enjoy the other guide. We apologize for any inconvenience you experienced and hope you will try us again.

GREAT - the tour guides were fantastic. The first guide, Gertrude, was dressed in period costume. She explained the history, culture, customs, and etiquette of the times, how the city of Savannah was founded, etc. She also spoke in a southern accent which was quite charming. The next tour guide we had was "Anna from Savannah". She also explained the history of Savanna but added a comedy spin. Still outstanding and educational. Anna also doubled as the trolley driver. I am pretty good with American history but there were things about the south I never knew. If you take this trolley tour - try to get both Anna and Gertrude as your guides. Quite a memorable and educational experience. Well worth the money. HIGHLY recommend this tour.

Loved our hostess Gertrude. All the characters were fantastic. We learned a lot from both the drivers and the hostess. I recommend to stay on for the whole tour first, then hop off/on whenever you want.
