Gold, Gold, Gold! Alaska is known for oil and gold. Our guides are familiar with gold panning and the man who first discovered gold in July 1902, starting the Fairbanks Gold Rush. This monument is one of many treasures we are happy to share whenever possible with guests. Please remember we go where the clear skies are and not all guests have the same locations to visit. If you want to learn about Alaskan History, ask our wonderful guides who are happy to share both personal and historical facts and stories.

Alyeska Pipeline Viewing Point

Here at Aurora in Alaska we go to the best cloud free location each night. One of our favorites stops along the way is the awe-inspiring and historical Alyeska Pipeline. Whenever possible our guides happily share our Alaskan history with oil and take guests up close and personal to the pipeline.

We visited Fairbanks with the goal of seeing the Northern lights. It happened to be during a cold snap and the temps were around -30F the night of our tour. Austin was a really good guide, he took us to several viewing spots and we were able to see the lights. We were limited to how much time we could spend outside but he made sure we stayed warm in the van and let us know when viewing was optimal. He also took some great pictures for us with his camera and provided them to us

Austin was the tour guide for me and my friend and he was really knowledgeable and kind. He answered alot of the questions I had and helped me take good photos with my iphone. He also used his expensive camera equipment to take pictures of everyone upon request with no charge at all. The spot Austin took us was really good to see the auroras and I was able to get good photos of the auroras. Greatly Recommend the tour!
