We forecast cloud and auroras to ensure we are going to see Aurora. With our key locations and experience we will view the Northern Lights or you can come out viewing with us again for free within the next 30 days as part of our Aurora Guarantee Policy**

Gold, Gold, Gold! Alaska is known for oil and gold. Our guides are familiar with gold panning and the man who first discovered gold in July 1902, starting the Fairbanks Gold Rush. This monument is one of many treasures we are happy to share whenever possible with guests. Please remember we go where the clear skies are and not all guests have the same locations to visit. If you want to learn about Alaskan History, ask our wonderful guides who are happy to share both personal and historical facts and stories.

Alyeska Pipeline Viewing Point

Here at Aurora in Alaska we go to the best cloud free location each night. One of our favorites stops along the way is the awe-inspiring and historical Alyeska Pipeline. Whenever possible our guides happily share our Alaskan history with oil and take guests up close and personal to the pipeline.

We had Nick and Madelyn as our guides and they were great! They made sure to keep us entertained all the ride, checking on our body temperature to make sure it didn’t drop and provided us with snacks and answered all our questions :) Unfortunately, as all the tour guides mention, the northern lights are all up to Mother Nature and we weren’t able to see much of them :( They told us where the northern lights and you could barely see a glimpse of them. We stopped to take photos and they took all the pictures we needed and it looked nice on camera but not in person. However, it was not up to them and the tour company was great! They also provided me with ski pants which I was so greatful! The only reason I don’t give it a 5 stars is because it was pricey for the ending results :(

Sadly we haven’t found the “brighter lights” switch for the auroras yet, but we do hope you will come out again with us. The team that took us to view the Aurora was great. The crew, including our driver Andrew, took great care of us including drinks at the site (coffee, hot cocoa) and deer sausage we could cook over the campfire. We took amazing pictures and the crew helped me with my camera settings as well as taking pictures pictures of our family with their amazing set up. Eagerly await the pictures they took.
