Gold, Gold, Gold! Alaska is known for oil and gold. Our guides are familiar with gold panning and the man who first discovered gold in July 1902, starting the Fairbanks Gold Rush. This monument is one of many treasures we are happy to share whenever possible with guests. Please remember we go where the clear skies are and not all guests have the same locations to visit. If you want to learn about Alaskan History, ask our wonderful guides who are happy to share both personal and historical facts and stories.

Alyeska Pipeline Viewing Point

Here at Aurora in Alaska we go to the best cloud free location each night. One of our favorites stops along the way is the awe-inspiring and historical Alyeska Pipeline. Whenever possible our guides happily share our Alaskan history with oil and take guests up close and personal to the pipeline.

We had such a blast on this tour! The guides were amazing and wonderful to talk to. They took care of us from beginning to end! Pickup was smooth, the multiple stops to see the aurora were even better! The campfire and reindeer sausage were also great. I know the price seems high, but it was all well worth it. I loved being able to move around based on the conditions, but all of it was so worth it.

Very Pleased. Tony was very polite, on time and explained well. Was able to see the Aroura lights. Was surprised the photos were not included in the price.

Overall an awesome tour! My guide Andrew was very helpful and informative and knew all the details regarding the northern lights. I was quite impressed too, as although there were cloudy conditions all around us in Alaska, there was a clear spot in the Fairbanks area, and we were able to successfully navigate to that area! We did get confirmed sightings of aurora, was visible faintly to naked eye, but was vibrant and beautiful with camera! Overall greatly recommend this tour to anyone interested in seeing the northern lights!
