Floating past spectacular geological formations and views of the Sangre de Cristo mountain range as you run exciting Class II-III rapids. This trip is suitable for families, first timers or experienced rafters with great views and lots of adventure. You will run the best 10 miles of whitewater in Bighorn Sheep Canyon, groups or individuals looking to experience whitewater rafting in Colorado for the first time or tenth time. Great views and adventure! 2 to 3 hours on the water. This is the only trip that can start out of either of our locations.

Can't say enough of this tour company. Emily is extremely helpful. She answered all my questions and helped me book the right trip for our family (Bighorn Sheep). Zoey is very patient. She helped us get checked in and get the right gear (wetsuits, wet pouches, hat). Danny is badass. As our guide, he provided the perfect balance of fun, humor, and "take the river and your oar strokes seriously" energy. Additionally, he took the time to make sure we had the right gear. He even took extra time to find me a helmet that was already equipped with a GoPro connector!!! I will definitely book another whitewater rafting experience with Arkansas River Tours. And although all the guides are awesome, I will request Danny because he's like family now =). Stay awesome, ART!!!

The entire experience was great from the beginning. Booking was easy, a reasonable cancellation policy, and price were totally in line with the service and experience. The staff was so friendly and professional while being welcoming and making everyone feel comfortable. It was my first time on the river so I was a little apprehensive but Danny was amazing and in no time I felt safe and comfortable. The river is lower in August but there were still plenty of splashes and several Level 3 areas. I will definitely be back - hopefully next June!! If you get the chance to go next season, definitely ask for Danny. He's a great guide and very personable. He's kind of cute too!! Thanks everyone at Arkansas River Tours!

Arkansas river tours made it super easy to book and I loved how seamless the checkin process was plus they took care of everything! All I had to do was sit back, relax and enjoy the trip! Buddy was a great guide explaining the local history of the area and walking us through how we could set up for each rapid for ensure safe and fun travel down the river! :) can’t wait to go try out the advanced river trip next!
