Great visit! Followed the tips of a previous reviewer “travelinspiration” - thank you so much, those were very helpful!
Ordered all the tickets online the day before, arrived for opening, we were the first in line, first through the security, and went straight to the submarine. They wait to let visitors in until the group is about 20-25 people. After the sub, we went to the simulators. There are 3, we only did G-force. Personally, I didn’t enjoy at all, just because I don’t play video games and I don’t like hanging upside, but my teenager loved it.
Apollo virtual experience was kind of cheesy, they need to upgrade the technology, nowadays basic video games have better graphics than that, I’d skip it, not worth $14. We then went to the Space Shuttle exhibit , which was very impressive. We were a bit surprised to find out that Enterprise was actually never in space, it was used as a testing and training spacecraft. We had timed tickets to 2 short movies - aircraft carriers and a space exploration one - good for adults and teens, young kids will be bored. After movies, we had a timed ticket to see the Concorde, it was interesting to get inside, the guide was great. After that, we explored the rest of the museum. Overall, great experience, my teen really enjoyed it.
