Our tour guide Alexander V, was incredible. I gave him a call and he met us right across the border and had identifiable attire, and was right where he said he would be. His English was great and he helped us navigate the transport to downtown (we took a local TJ bus). We started the tour with lunch on Avenida Revolucion. I enjoyed a delicious margarita and steak fries. We met up with another young German lady also on the tour. We had walked through the various districts and got familiar with the city. We checked out where Carlos Santana go his start and where Al Capone and Marlyn Monroe used to frequent. He took us to various shops and we sampled some tequila liquors (I bought two), checked out gift shops, candy shops, markets, and got some Elotes and churros. We learned the Mexican day of the dead culture and got an awesome Banda to give us a traditional Tijuana serenade at Plaza Santa Cecilia! My buddy was in town from the east coast and we both turned 40 this week and wanted to check out TJ. It was his first time to Mexico and my second and this was the perfect way to do it. This was an awesome experience. Our Tour Guide Alex was great!
