Top notch experience! Gregorio and Humberto were our guides and they were great. My husband is a freak and was all nervous about taking the kids to Tijuana but a half hour in to the tour he was like, “this is NOT what I thought it would be.” Yes, Tijuana has seedy areas but obviously that’s not where tour guides are taking you. The tour was educational and touristy but in a nice mix. Guides were easy to hear and understand and timed things well - lunch, bathroom breaks, etc. One thing I wish the tour company had advised us of is the time needed to park and go through the border to meet up with the tour guides. Not a huge deal but it would have been nice to have some info on where to park and how long that takes. My advice is to give yourself at least a half hour from the time you arrive to get parked and across. The lunch was very tasty - no issues at all. Never felt unsafe (it helps that Gregorio is like 8 feet tall and seems to know everyone.) Overall, very worth the price and the time. Our tour started at 1 and we were dropped back off at the border at 6:20, we were back stateside by 7pm.
