Private Scuba Diving is REQUIRED when your group has a novice swimmer. Look for our private tour in a separate listing.

Public transportation options are available nearby
Not recommended for travelers with spinal injuries
Not recommended for pregnant travelers
Not recommended for travelers with poor cardiovascular health
Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
Minimum age to participate is 10.
Guests should be able to carry a minimum of 30 pounds for a short distance.
After diving you must wait 18 hours to fly or ascend to 1,000 feet or more.
Guests MUST be comfortable swimming in the ocean to complete this scuba diving tour. If you book this tour but cannot swim, you forfeit your participation in the experience as well as your right to a refund.
Must be able to answer NO to each question on the Medical Statement. A YES answer requires a doctor clearance. Failure to secure a doctor clearance when needed forfeits the ability to dive and the right to a refund. Please contact Banyan Tree Divers ahead of time for a copy of the medical form if you have any health concerns that might affect your ability to dive.
Transportation not included. Please let us know if you will not have a rental car.
Not recommended for travelers with asthma or sinus medical conditions
Proficient SWIMMING ABILITY IN THE OCEAN IS REQUIRED. This means that you must be able to swim unassisted in the ocean.

I’ve never dove before nor have my three teenagers. My wife last dove 20 plus years ago at Molokini! The patience that Chris and Anika showed with the five of us cannot be overstated! Safety, safety, safety was the name of the game! Great company, was highly recommended to me. They certainly came through! You made my three kids trip an incredibly special one! My boys haven’t stopped talking about the turtles and the sharks they saw on the second dive! Dave

We were both new to scuba diving, and we felt that Michael’s instruction was super clear and motivating! We would definitely try scuba diving again with Banyan Tree next time we’re in town!

I am a certified SCUBA diver, but had not dived in 25+ years, so listed myself as a non-diver. My wife had only snorkeled, so we signed up for the intro dive. Chris was our instructor, and was great. One person in our group was pretty hesitant when he got in the water, but Chris did a great job of reassuring him, and getting him diving. My wife was also a bit apprehensive, but did great. I guess my main advise is, if you at all curious, give it a try and don't be worried! Yes, you do need to know how to swim, but not being a super strong swimmer should not deter you (my wife is an Ironman, but I don't think I could swim 100 yards without a break!). I think the most important thing is to spend some time in the ocean first, so you are comfortable in the ocean. Going snorkeling first is also helpful, IMHO, as it acclimates you to the unnatural act of breathing with you face under water. So, don't hesitate to give it a go, at worst if you don't get down (and you will get down!), it will be the best snorkeling you've ever done!
