You MUST be able to swim unassisted in the ocean to book this Beginner Scuba Dive.

Private Scuba Diving is REQUIRED when your group has a novice swimmer. Look for our private tour in a separate listing.

If your swimming ability is misrepresented, it will lead to removal from this beginner scuba dive and NO REFUND.

Public transportation options are available nearby
Not recommended for travelers with spinal injuries
Not recommended for pregnant travelers
Not recommended for travelers with poor cardiovascular health
Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
Minimum age to participate is 10.
Guests should be able to carry a minimum of 30 pounds for a short distance.
After diving you must wait 18 hours to fly or ascend to 1,000 feet or more.
Guests MUST be comfortable swimming in the ocean to complete this scuba diving tour. If you book this tour but cannot swim, you forfeit your participation in the experience as well as your right to a refund.
Must be able to answer NO to each question on the Medical Statement. A YES answer requires a doctor clearance. Failure to secure a doctor clearance when needed forfeits the ability to dive and the right to a refund. Please contact Banyan Tree Divers ahead of time for a copy of the medical form if you have any health concerns that might affect your ability to dive.
Transportation not included. Please let us know if you will not have a rental car.
Not recommended for travelers with asthma or sinus medical conditions
Proficient SWIMMING ABILITY IN THE OCEAN IS REQUIRED. This means that you must be able to swim unassisted in the ocean.

Couldn't have asked for a better scuba experience! My boyfriend and I were first time divers and Michael was very helpful in making sure that we both felt comfortable. We struggled a bit at the beginning with getting used to being underwater but Michael was patient and attentive the entire time. 100% trust Banyan Tree Divers and would recommend them to everyone! Seeing a sea turtle made my day :)

We were recently in Lahaina and had the opportunity to dive with Banyan Tree Divers and had a great time. One of us was doing a discovery dive and the rest of us were doing a shore dive. We were lucky enough to get Chris as our dive instructor and he was wonderful. He made our discovery diver feel very comfortable and as a result we all had lots of fun. We will definitely dive with them the next time we are in Lahaina and recommend them highly!

My son and daughter (Jennifer and Michael) were with the other 2 divers in a 4 people group. They dived at the shore of a beach. They loved it and joined the second dive for an extra $79. They said the second dive was even better. They totally enjoyed it. In the next few days, they went snorkeling themselves but they said nothing compared to the diving experience they had with this group. Hightly recommend.
