Join us to see the underwater beauty near Captain Cook's Monument and Puuhonua O Honaunau National Historic Park. Usually, at this time of day, the waters of the Kona coast are crystal clear and offer great visibility. View over 100 different varieties of tropical fish along with an occasional reef shark or sea turtle. These lively snorkeling spots are home to a variety of marine life.

Your Crew will teach you a little Hawaiian history along the way. As you cruise, you will enjoy spectacular views of Big Island's rugged coastline, along with views of sea caves and lava tubes. If you are lucky, you may spot a pod of dolphins or a whale, which can be found here year-round (humpback whale migration is seasonal!)

Very cool day out on the water with Captain Dennis. He is a pleasure to hang with and very knowledgeable of the area. My wife and I do a little deeper than the average snorkeler (beginner freediver), so we were looking for a trip that gave us a little more time in the water, which was satisfying. I was surprised how much we liked the educational tour of the coast (Captain Cook, Ancient Burial Grounds, Disney's Moana's inspirations). If you plan this trip for a future visit, you might want to do a little research on the topics previously mentioned. It will add a lot to the visit.

Great snorkeling experience- two locations and a great ride up and down the coast of the big island.

I've been to many reefs (Great Barrier, Caribbean), and this was one of my top favorites! There are SO many varieties of tropical fish and ocean life, and the water is crystal clear. WOW. The second location had a ton of Spinner Dolphins (I'm talking like 25) just swimming around you, I also spotted a reef shark sleeping (not dangerous-look it up:), and swam with sea turtles. Absolutely stunning views before, during, and after the snorkeling. Since we were in a smaller boat, the captain took us really close to some neat Lava Tube areas and coves that bigger boats would never do. My only critique would be: I wish I got to spend more time in the water as I didn't care as much about listening to the Captain Cook lore/ Island history lesson stuff, but I'm sure some might like that. I'm just obsessed with sea life:) Shout out to our awesome crew: Eve, Angus, and Dennis who were so sweet and welcoming. Would 100% recommend this excursion to anyone visiting the Big Island, it's worth it!!
