We had a marvelous experience going out with Justin and Shane as our guides. They know the wildlife habits, local terrain and sea so well. Thanks to their expertise we were able to paddle near a dolphin pod and then the dolphins came and played around us. This kayak trip will remain a highlight of my life. This is my second kayak trip with La Vida Laguna. The first time was on my own, as a single woman. This trip to Laguna Beach was with family. The good quality equipment and instruction insured that we had a safe as well as memorable experience. I trust La Vida Laguna not only for myself, but also for my loved ones.

We had a great time on our tour, the guides were amazing in guiding us as well as telling us about the area, and I am so glad we gave this a try! The water was pretty rough near shore the day we went, and though I have kayaked a little in the past & am not uncomfortable in the water or with paddling, it was a bit intimidating to paddle out past the rocks & waves (again, guides were awesome at getting us through this). Once out there, it is really amazing- calm, beautiful views, fun! Getting back in was much easier than getting out. I had read a lot of reviews about all ages & people with no experience having no problem so I think perhaps it was just that I wasn't expecting the paddling out to be as rough. I don't think I personally could have taken my elementary aged kids with no kayaking experience out there just me and one of them in a kayak, but I do think it is an awesome activity for anyone willing to give it a go!

Five of us did the sea kayak tour and everyone really enjoyed it. The water looked rough from the shore but once you got out it was great and the guides did a good job of keeping an eye on everyone. We saw a seal and two sea lions so that makes it worth the trip and it's something we probably would never have thought to try on our own. The price was the only downside. It is not cheap for the amount of time you and actually on the water and definitely on the high end of other attractions in the area.
