Emerald Bay State Park

The Ultimate Half Day Tour departs at 7:00 am, and focuses on the best of Tahoe’s South and West Shore areas. Our journey begins at a beautiful secluded Tahoe beach, shadowed by spectacular Mt.Tallac. Across the river is an Eagle sanctuary, and you will be able to view and photograph different species of local birds, and possibly even a bear. As the mountains and lakes beckon, our adventures continues to back country lakes and spectacular waterfalls. Above the falls, another high country lake awaits our arrival. Climbing 2,000 feet above Tahoe to a high country ridgeline, gives you amazing views. Continuing to one of the most photographed locations in North America, Emerald Bay. Tahoe Photo Tours will take you to special locations to avoid the crowds.

Sugar Pine State Park

Sugar Pine Point State Park contains one of the finest remaining natural areas on Lake Tahoe. With nearly two miles of lake frontage, the park has dense forests of pine, fir, aspen and juniper. Constructed in 1903, the property is one of the finest examples of a by-gone era of summer retreats found along the shores of Lake Tahoe. With crystal clear waters and up to 24 inch pine cones this is a must see location.

I will summarize first - don't even think about it - book with Keith! If you are interested in learning about the area and in seeing it through a photographers eyes you will cherish this experience. We absolutely loved our tour with Keith! He is incredibly knowledgeable about both the Tahoe area and photography. My husband and I are amateurs but trying to learn and learn we did!!! From the types of lenses, filters, settings - he knows about each brand and type of camera and was able to give us individual advice to make the photos great. My photographs have never been this good. After our tour I ordered the filters he suggested and am very happy. Keith's background is in the service industry and that shines through to the max! He attends to you every need. He showed us his portfolio at lunch - and oh my gosh - how impressive. I wish I had 1/10th of his talent. This was my first experience in going with a professional and it has changed the way I take pictures - bravo Keith!!!! We will remember you forever for the memories we made with you!! He takes photos along with you and after the tour he sends you his photos - what a bonus!!! We plan on returning to Tahoe next year and I can tell you that my husband and I will be booking with Keith anytime we return. It's a day well spent!!

We had an amazing day except for one thing. We didn't get to see a bear we thought! But wait as we were driving by Camp Richardson your keen eyes spotted a bear not far off of the road. The bear pictures turned out fantastic, and most importantly you got to see your bear!! Thank you again and we look forward to your next visit.

Joey is such a friendly tour guide & very knowledgeable! I was on the tour alone & he made sure I was getting the shots I wanted and made me feel very welcome. I had the pleasure of talking to the owner, Keith, on the phone the next day. He is a genuine, wonderful business owner who takes pride in his service. A couple of things happened on the tour that were no one’s fault & could not be controlled. Keith wanted to make sure I was happy with the tour & I could tell he was very sincere. I really look forward to returning to the area in the fall season & will definitely book another tour with Keith’s! If you have an interest in photography and beautiful landscapes... you will love this tour!!

My husband and I took a full day tour with Keith. We had a another couple that joined us and had the best time. Keith knows the hidden gems of Lake Tahoe. We went to the most beautiful spots for photos. He also has been living there for 40 years, so his narrative on the history and the area is very interesting. The best part is Keith also takes pictures of you so you have a wonderful keepsake. We've done other photo tours and the tour guide never offered this service. I can't wait to see all the photos that Keith will send us. Then the difficult decision will be which ones to print! We came as strangers and left as friends. Until we come back, the best to you Keith and Robin.
