I’m an experienced surfer from Encinitas who wants to share the epic experience of surfing with you. I teach lessons for beginners to intermediate surfers. My goal is that you are having fun, feel confident, and fully embrace the unique experience that surfing is. By the end of the lesson you will have surfed some of your first waves as well as gained a greater knowledge of the ocean.

Karch is a great guy and we had an awesome time surfing with him. There were two of us in our party and both absolute beginners. Karch was was very patient explaining the basics and getting us to practice on the beach before getting us into the water so we could see what surfing is all about. If you’re from the UK, surfing in the Pacific Ocean is a bit of a bucket list item - at least for me - and Karch was the perfect teacher. His communication was friendly and prompt and the equipment we used was high quality with my wetsuit being brand new. We surfed off Cardiff Beach which was a great spot for beginners and enabled us to figuratively find our feet with rolling waves that gave us plenty of opportunity to try out our new moves. I hope to go back someday and if Karch is up for another round of surfing with a couple of beginners then so are we!

Very good overall experience. Contact by Karch, surf teacher approx. 10 days before our arrival in California. Good communication for organizing the meeting point. Equipment provided! Our teenage beginners loved the surf lesson with Karch! Activity recommended for all people who want to learn or progress in surfing.
