Was picked up promptly and departed out of town. After the 30 minute drive, the driver realized he had made a mistake and taken our van load of people to the wrong location. The correct spot was now an hour back the other direction. When we finally arrived, the outfit took no responsibility for the mistake but blamed the third party van company they contract with. The manager reluctantly agreed to comp a couple of us a bottle of water they normally charge $3 for. After deliberating a bit, two of our group of four decided to forego the activity and head back to town even though the manager did not have the authority to ensure a refund. It could only be done by the owner. The two that decided to stay and the rest of the original van group had to now wait a total of an hour after finally arriving before heading out as the outfit decided to merge them into the next scheduled group that hadn't yet arrived instead of taking them out right away. By the time they got back to town there was zero time to explore downtown destroying any opportunity to purchase any souvenirs. Additionally, all in the group that decided to stay indicated that the actual activity was the worst ATV activity any had ever done. The entire run was extremely bumpy, the staff were not helpful in explaining the safety procedures or assisting with donning the safety gear. Lastly, it is Alaska but to charge $10 for a neck gator to keep your neck from getting dirty is outrageous. No outfit we've ever done has charged for that. That should be a basic item provided to all especially given the cost of the excursion. The one redeeming point was that the outfit did provide a refund for three of the four of us. However, while we know mistakes happen, it is how they are handled that show the true colors of a business. This one failed on many fronts and I would strongly recommend against using them for all the above reasons.

We too agree that mistakes happen. Human error is a part of life, and we all deal with it in different ways. When something is out of your control, we understand frustration and anger build up and the need to lash out to get your point across. We personally went the different route. We tried to mitigate the situation. As you stated, our third-party transportation accidentally went to the wrong location. We found this out when you were arriving to our site, we did our best to make sure you were still able to enjoy the experience. We did the whole safety speech and made sure everyone was in helmets and explained how to operate the vehicle- as a matter of fact, you did not even go on the tour and opted to go back into town to get your souvenirs -so of course you would not have heard the safety. I'm not sure what you do for a living, but can you imagine getting screamed at (for something that is not your fault) and still putting a smile on your face to make sure the group still gets to enjoy their time? These are seasonal workers. You said everyone in the group said it was the worst ATV tour, I have personal emails from others in this group who say otherwise. Also, stating it's how we handled the situation that shows the true colors of a business..... Do you mean FABULOUS!? Giving you refunds (out of our pocket) and free drinks (out of our pocket) Assuring that we have vehicles onsite to make it back into town WELL before your all aboard to shop. What else in your mind could we have done? I mean, if you really wanted a souvenir....you should have gotten a gator... ;)

First off, the girls that were our guides were super nice!! We are experienced ORV'rs and love going off on dirty, bumpy adventures. However, we were in Alaska! We were there for the beautiful views and a few hours riding around in nature. However, we couldn't truly enjoy it because we traveled at such a quick pace, plus the trail is incredibly bumpy and dusty. Taking it all in was impossible except for when we stopped. This could have been amazing if they would smooth the trail, wet it down, and slow the pace. The Alaskan mountain landscape is breathtaking. I just wish I could have taken a little time to enjoy it.

Thank you for taking the time to review. We are sorry we did not meet your expectations. Unfortunately, with the times that the cruise lines are in port we are only allocated a certain amount of time to make sure you make your all aboard. Typically, we get an insane amount of rain, you happened to arrive on a lucky week for us to be able to see the sunshine thus creating dust. We are happy you got to see the beautiful landscape while you were here.

From the time Billy, our driver to the lake, provided in-depth description of Ketchikan's rich history, thru Matt and Clara(sp)( grade school teacher) reviewed the UTV safety and operational guidance, throughout the tour, both driving and when taking breaks. They addressed all my questions in a very patient and knowledgeable manner. Highly recommend this tour and ask for them - they are fantastic!
