Once at the top, our local guides from Valley Isle Excursions will set you up for the best experience—pointing out incredible viewing locations, sharing tips for seeing the sunrise, and telling stories about the history of the island.

This tour was excellent. Our guide, Billy, was full of lots of information about Maui, Haleakala, and even about local flora and fauna. He made sure we had the best viewing point for the sunrise, and also provided ponchos which truly protected us from the cold and kept us warm. The breakfast we had afterward at Cafe O’Lei was also delicious and the whole property was beautiful and fun to explore. I would definitely recommend this tour, especially with Billy as your guide!

An absolute gem! This unique experience is a must, put it on your to do list immediately. Abe and Alex were great guides and were wonderful storytellers .

Abraham our tour guide was amazing. His singing as the sun rose was so beautiful it made me cry. I would highly recommend. We’re from Minnesota and didn’t think it could possibly be as cold as they said it could be. Lesson learned - bring proper winter gear if you don’t want to be cold!
