Don't go.
We are boat people who have been on more excursions of this type to count. We feel qualified to give a true review.
The boat did not have enough seats for everyone. The diesel exhaust is overwhelming. Very uncomfortable boat for the applied purpose of this type of outing. Everyone has to crowd the rear of the boat with the bow riding high leaving those on the benches sliding towards the rear.
We did not like bill or Saundra. They are surely in this for the money only. And to state what he pays for insurance is crass-sorry bill, the amount is not impressive enough to feel sorry for you. Saundra actually hung a bell for us to ring when we gave the $20 tip she suggested.
At the snorkel location, another boat tied off to us. Then we had to wait another 20 minutes with Saundra staring at us and chewing her lips until we were allowed to snorkel sans flippers. This is where manta adventures did not shine. It was unorganized, amateurish, unprofessional and somewhat dangerous. There were inexperienced people from both boats, some who did not swim or snorkel well, if at all, in the water between both boats which were drifting in swells towards each other. What a mess.
There was a "decontamination" station in the back corner where you were instructed to stand to get hosed off so as to keep the salt water out of the boat. Seriously. It wasn't a quick rinse for our comfort-you were thoroughly hosed. I swear he counted because he knew he missed one...lol. Yup, I got salt on his boat.
And it was repeatedly stressed to not pee in their wet suits. Right...
My son got sick so I called to cancel the day before as our tickets said within 24 hours. Nope. Saundra just kept repeating no refund less than 48 hours. Not a fee as stated on site, but the whole amount will be kept.
It's unfortunate that nearly all who go with this tour company don't know bad from good. They see a partial manta or dolphins in distance and are excited. Don't trust their reviews.
Honestly, we were turned off by the hordes of people and boats crowding a small area where it's basically just the same three mantas. FYI these three are there during the afternoons-great snorkel without the zoo.
Overall, The constant nagging and endless grade-school rules created a negative atmosphere.
