Great tour, but was expecting more for the money for some reason, particularly the riverboat cruise, which was just a trip up and down the river, nothing really to see believe or not, everything was a bit far, just a long talk about Memphis and river history, crew and captain very funny and helpful enough.
BBQ tasting was OK, but it is just a tasting, you will still be hungry after.
The Rock & Soul Museum was the best part, so much musical history, but this is within walking distance from Beale Street, so could have done this on foot.
The other interesting stop on this tour was the Martin Luther King assassination site, which happened here, unbeknown to me.
The site is the old motel, which has been kept in it's original condition, along with the surrounding area but now with the National Civil Rights Museum attached to the side, very interesting indeed, as it all fits in with another stop on this tour, which is the 'I AM A MAN' monument detailing the beginning of the civil rights protest, a great tribute and insight to the brave pioneers of this movement....
There is another part to the tour, which is Historical Memphis, some great buildings and old houses to see, fascinating architecture from a bygone time....
Overall good tour; guide and driver pleasant enough, very informative and helpful, good day out to kill a few hours....
