Started off great, I was told that the water was a bit choppy but decided to try anyway, I asked which way to go first was was instructed to go right towards the seals but not beyond the rock. So I made my way that direction and watching the seals was cool. I turned around to go back and the wind picked up and the current was going hard against me, I've kayaked in rough waters before and consider my self fit, so I wasn't too concerned, however after 1 and an half hours of 2 strokes forward I was going 10 strokes back and was unable to get back the way I came. After multiple attempts I called the shop for help, the kayaker (employee) came out to get me, instead of asking if I was OK he yelled at me "I told you not to go this far!", I was mortified as it was now I am getting scolded like a child. He tethered the kayaks together and said "keep paddling, I'm not going to carry you?", I never stopped paddling, nor did I intend to, we took a different route back toward the marina, once there he said in a harsh voice, "turn you equiptment back to the shop!', he was so angry I felt horrible. I said "thank you and sorry". I am grateful to have had some assistance but there was no point in being so rude and mean. I would not return or refer anyone. The other employees back at the shop were very nice.
