The tour guides were super nice, easy going dudes. Explained everything well and were open to any questions. One guy stayed with the van and one came on the river with us. This was nice to be able to leave my car keys in the van and not worry about losing them accidentally in the river, as they would be watched by the other guy. (They offered we could leave whatever we needed to in the shuttle van) Life jackets were provided to us.
We got surprise rained on but I recommend a towel for after so you can either dry off or sit on it and protect your car seat on the way home. I was soaked but it literally poured on us. The paddle does drip some water inside the kayak and the two people who chose to paddle board both happened to fall in. Those 2 had water protective pouches for their money/ keys / cell phones that were somehow attached to their person. I definitely recommend this IF you are going to paddle boad bc its easier to fall in doing that. None of our kayakers tipped over, but anything is possible. The guides offered us water at the end, you may want to bring a drink with you, there was a cup holder slot in the floor of the boat. Don't forget to wear sunscreen! I'd give 5 stars to the guys themselves but I'm taking 1 off bc its not the prettiest place to kayak. A bit boring as far as sights (in the beginning) and the river has a fair amount of trash which is sad to see. The views at the end are fantastic, photo worthy and definitely leave the trip ending on a high note.
