I have been to the National Archives before but this trip was so much better. Seeing the Archives with a tour guide is the only way to go because they are able to provide you with so much historical information that you will not get if you go on your own. Our guide was so knowledgeable about not only the artifacts but the murals as well. She provided my family with such good information, it was wonderful.

Skye was great!! She was educational - managed the crowds well - and had good knowledge of everything!! Way more educational than if we had done the archives & history museums by ourselves.

I've done many tours from Viator, and rarely leave a bad review. The 2 hours is not enough time, and not worth the money. We were given a brief few minutes to take pics of the Constitution, etc. and get out of the way. The Archive workers also instruct you to do this. Not enough time to read any of the auxiliary stuff about them before moving on due to only an hour spent there, even with a small group. An hour can be spent looking and reading about the documents alone. That's not to mention there are also massive parts of the Archives closed. The American History Museum is free and the information you need is all on placards. There is no need whatsoever for a guide there. I honestly feel this tour was a tremendous waste of money and for the exhorbitant price, especially so. I wished we wouldn't have paid for it. Walk to these and do your own tour. Save your money.

We're sorry you did not see the same value in the tour as the other guests. Our guide got you past the initial queue that can be up to several hours and directly to the important documents (not focusing on the facsimiles). The guide then showed off the significant pieces in the National Museum of American History (out of a collection that spans over 1.7 million objects). If you wanted to wander all day through those spaces that is understandable but we focus on showing the highlights and giving the lesser known stories
