Badlands National Park
Badlands National Park is an awe-inspiring destination that should be on anyone's must-see list. The park spans 244,000 acres and features a variety of unique landscapes, from jagged cliffs to Badland formations. It is also home to some incredible wildlife, including bighorn sheep, mule deer, pronghorn antelope, swift foxes, and black-footed ferrets. On the tour, we'll explore some of the park's most iconic regions, such as Sage Creek Rim Road and The Door Trail. You'll be able to witness first-hand the amazing geological formations that have been created over millions of years, and learn about the history and culture of the park. You'll also have the chance to spot some incredible wildlife up close. Throughout my tours, I make sure to stop at areas where particular species are known to frequent so you can see them in their natural habitat. From birds of prey to prairie dogs, you'll be able to observe a wide range of animals in their natural settings.

My husband and I did a private tour of the Badlands with Daniel and My XO Adventures, after doing a larger tour with them with extended family the day before. Daniel was a wealth of knowledge and information and really made my first visit here spectacular. My husband, who has been here before, really enjoyed this tour as well and learned so much more. This is a beautiful part of our nation and Daniel and XO made it extra special, memorable, and just a plain amazing tour that we would highly recommend.

It was an absolute pleasure guiding you through the Badlands, especially after your family tour the day before! I’m so glad you both had such a meaningful experience, and it’s fantastic to hear that even for a returning visitor, there was still so much more to discover. The Badlands have a way of revealing new wonders every time you visit, and I’m grateful I could help make this trip extra special for you. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience and for your wonderful recommendation—it truly means a lot. Wishing you many more unforgettable journeys ahead!

My wife Linda and I took 2 tours with guides Daniel and Ashley of XO Adventures. The tours were spectacular. The Black Hills and the beautiful, historic surroundings are wonderful as you will see. The first tour was to the Badlands with a liesurely stop over at the famous Wall Drug, (a must see). Daniel and Ashley were so knowledgeable and friendly with humor mixed in. More than a scenic driving tour as we stopped and explored the surroundings on foot. Wildlife was plentiful, bison, praire dogs and antelope to name a few. Snacks and drinks were provided as we moved along, as was lunch and beverages at a rustic out of the way place. (The Wagon Wheel Bar & Grill) A unique and relaxing spot, ask Daniel about it. Our second tour was to Mt. Rushmore, the Crazy Horse Memorial and Custer State Park. So much to see and experience. Another phenominal day. When visiting the Black Hills area of South Dakota XO Adventures provides the ticket to a fantastic experience.

Thank you so much! It was a pleasure sharing the day with you and Linda. Exploring Wall Drug, Custer State Park, Mount Rushmore, and Crazy Horse is always special, but having time to truly soak in the landscapes, wildlife, and history makes it even better. I’m glad you enjoyed the off-the-beaten-path stops, humor, and conversation—it's what makes a tour feel more like traveling with friends than just sightseeing. And yes, The Wagon Wheel Bar & Grill is a hidden gem! I have to knock on that door again. I miss the old revolving beer sign above the bar! We’d love to have you back for another adventure whenever you’re ready to explore more. Wishing you both more incredible travels ahead!
