It's as fun as you make it so go with a positive attitude. We went on day 2 of our trip to New Orleans, great way to get introduced to the city. Our guide, Cody, was fantastic! He encouraged us to ask any question about anything, he was very knowledgeable as well as patient while we stopped at bars along the way to order drinks. We were nice and drunk by the end of our (1.5 to 2 hour?) tour

We showed up with a group of 14 at 2:02 for a 2 pm tour today. The tour has apparently left by then which is perfectly fair and respectable , but The “contact” refused the answer the phone, and sent us a series of unhelpful, useless text messages and refused to tell us WHERE to go to catch up. It’s now 2:28 and we’ve been dealing with the owners nasty texts in all caps. I told her we’d be leaving negative reviews and she accused us of threatening her. Unfortunately this isn’t a threat- it’s the result of terrible customer service and a Horrible attitude which tells me you likely should not be in the hospitality business. Also, a few other tour guides in the area told us this tour is unreliable and often 20-40 minutes late and sometimes simply Does not show up. There are so many options in this city. Skip this.

What you failed to mention was that you did meet this tour group even though you arrived late. As soon as the tour guide saw the calls and the messages saying that your group arrived late and wanted to attend you were told exactly where to go to meet up with them. I responded to every one of your messages (and there were a lot of them back to back) repeatedly saying the same thing over and over demanding me to tell you where they were. ----I gave you the street name that they start on and the street that they walk towards, your response was I do not know where that is. I explained to you that since the tour started the guide was in the process of telling stories / giving narrations and it may be a bit before the messages are seen. We cannot have tour guides using their phones during tours, that is rude to the guests who show up on time and are taking the tour. Horrible customer service would have consisted of me saying you are late sorry you missed it however you were given the option to attend at a different departure time or meet the group as soon as the tour guide saw that you had shown up late and wanted to meet the group where they were at that time on the tour route. Your exact words were: Unless you want fourteen negative reviews on tripadvisor you need to advise on where they are. Yes, that is a threat. You made a threat to ruin my good name because you were late and mad because the guide did not answer fast enough and the option of attending another departure time was not good enough either. I was doing everything I could by sending the messages to the guide so that you could meet again you were offered to attend at a different departure time as well. The bottom line is there would not have been any issues if you had let us know you were going to be late BEFORE the tour started. The group could have waited or let you know a new location to meet however you waited until after the tour started to make contact. When you made the reservation all the instructions and terms and conditions were clearly stated. You were sent this information before you purchased the tickets-- I am adding a copy below The instructions state: Guests will need to check in with the tour guide a few minutes Before the tour. Tours start at the scheduled time. The terms and conditions state: All sales are final and incur 100% cancellation penalties Please arrive a few minutes prior to departure time. Tours depart at the scheduled time. If guests do not check in before the tour they can not call and meet the tour at a different location. What is even wilder about this accusation is that you were late and the tour you were scheduled for departed on time just as it was supposed to. I am pretty sure that says it all.... Our reviews written by guests who show up on time, follow the instructions on when and where to meet and actually attend the tour speak for themselves.
