Enjoy the stories on a walking tour through New Orleans’ elegant 19th Century garden neighborhood. You will get to look through the gates at Lafayette Cemetery #1, currently closed to the public. This neighborhood and its cemetery tells the story of New Orleans from the Louisiana Purchase to the Civil War. Stunning antebellum mansions, lush gardens, unforgettable stories, and beautiful photo opportunities await! We keep our group size under 12 guests to make in a fun, personal experience.

We really enjoyed our tour of the Garden District with James as our tour guide. He was very entertaining, incredibly knowledgeable about New Orleans history and the people who live there today still. I was pleasantly surprised that we got to see a few celebrities' homes and movie locations (Benjamin Button house!), as well. The architecture in this area is incredible, and the tour was so much better than just strolling those streets on our own. Would highly recommend!

James is such a gifted storyteller, he is VERY funny, and he is always researching the homes and people in the Garden District. I agree with you that the neighborhood is simply beautiful to look at, but with the added context that a knowledgeable guide can provide, it becomes very special. Please come walk the broken-up sidewalks of New Orleans with us again! Libby

We thoroughly enjoyed this walking tour led by James around the Garden District. James was extremely informative and obviously very passionate about history and New Orleans itself. He was very knowledgeable and kept your interest and attention thoughout the tour. Highly recommended.

James really knows the Garden District and its stories, and his guests love his laid-back style. When people visit this city, they kind of know what to expect - Bourbon Street, the Mississippi River, jazz music - but when they say, as you have, that their guide kept their attention and interest, we know that they have discovered that New Orleans is every thing they expected but much, much more. We were fortunate to have Josh as our tour leader for this tour in th Garden District. We found him to be professional and a wealth of information. On top of these two important things, he also had a great sense of humor! It was such an enjoyable experience, we signed up for the French Quarter tour he leads. Thanks for a great tour!
