The swamp tour near Slidell had been great, because you had the chance to catch some great view of that big Lake in the bus ride from New Orleans. The Bus ride itself had been great, the woman did share an interesting view of New Orleans. Really appreciated the bus tour. It takes about 45min. and they pick you up at a few places Downtown (boarded in Canal Street)
Actually, I didn't expect to see some Alligators hibernating in the sun very close to our boat in December. (New Orleans had actually "bad" weather that day) We did also see several Racoon families, many birds, types of trees/bushes... Our Guide, Desi, shared very interesting deep insights about the rich wildlife and ecosystem and does (did?) work also for decades in a place where Gators are raised. I liked that he could answer all of our many questions and got us information on many different levels. He did see very little, but special, turtles from 50m and stopped the boat from high speed to show those to us. Really cool and it's a good place to learn how ecosystems work. Thank you!
P.S. Usually I do not write Reviews, but that one had been great. Of course, we don't have Gators in Germany and swamps at all, so it may be a little bit biased.
