The tour had a lot of stops, and each stop *did* have a story (suitably illustrated via iPad photographs), but our guide for the evening, "N," had a rather dry delivery. Histories of the places were glossed over in favor of a bloodless retelling of potential ghost sightings.
N seemed tired and in a rush, perhaps because the itinerary is so packed and there are so many places to visit? For a lot of the places, it was hard to get engaged in the storytelling--the section inside Washington Square Park was delivered like a graded recitation--though N did come to life in discussions of the Triangle Shirtwaist Fire, the Jefferson Market Library, and the notorious House of Death.
No time to take photos, so expect a tour at a quick clip. Was sad Stonewall was glossed over/not discussed because it is a huge part of Greenwich Village history. That being said, if you want to take a safe brisk walk through the Village at night, with a few stories in the mix, this is a good tour for that.
