I purchased multi-day passes for my wife and me on our first visit to NYC. Overall, we were pleased with the service. Things can be hit or miss, depending on the time of day, and depending on the tour guide. We had both good and bad guides, but more of the former than the latter. Assume that travel will be inefficient, and that you will have to allow for more time than you might expect. You may have to wait for a bus or two before once you want to re-board. Once you accept that reality, things will go a bit better. The package included all four bus routes (Uptown (Upper Manhattan), Downtown (Lower Manhattan), Brooklyn and Night Tour (Manhattan/Brooklyn)). Our package included a museum tour, a trip to the top of the Empire State Building or The Top of the Rock (the person selling us the tickets recommended the Top of the Rock, and we were very happy with it), hop-on/hop-off Ferry (we didn't use it) and a museum tour. The highlight was our tour of Brooklyn, and the guide, Tomasso (call me Tom) Botti. He is a former taxi driver who grew up in Brooklyn. He has tremendous local knowledge, and a lot of person stories about Brooklyn that he is happy to share. I told him that we were going to the building where my father grew up. He knew the address and told us what to tell a cabbie to get us there. We did elect to walk, and found it. When we returned to get back on the bus, it was Tom's bus. I explained that we had found my dad's place and he told us that it made his day. He was truly a fun guy to listen to. Again, your experience will vary based on the time of day and the guide. Overall we were satisfied with the service.
