What if we don’t see any mantas? It is an extremely rare occurrence, but if we do not see ANY manta rays on our Night Manta Experience, you are welcome to come back out with us again during the same vacation, based on availability, totally free of charge. Make sure you call us right away so that we may reschedule you! Non-refundable and non-transferable.

Our manta experience was exceptional. We saw a dozen or more rays and they swam up super close which was a ton of fun. Our crew was Jessica, Bre, and Captain Nick

I did two tours with Sea Quest (Manta & Deluxe Morning Adventure) during my recent trip to the Big Island. From where I stayed in Kona, this company was only a 5 minute car ride from my resort and only 5 minutes to the manta site. There was plenty of parking and the workers were friendly. Make sure you get the short wetsuit to maximize your warmth in the water and during the boat ride. Although there were lots of other people in the water from other companies during our tour, it still felt like we were the only ones. The guides continued to move the light boards so that we had the maximum chance of seeing manta rays. Although I hoped we would see more, we did see two and two eagle rays. You’re only in the water holding onto the light board for about 45 minutes. However, people who wanted to return to the boat sooner were escorted there by a guide. Cookies and hot chocolate were provided once we returned to the dock. Thanks for a great tour!

My husband and I went on this trip as part of our “babymoon” while I was 26 wks pregnant — the staff were so wonderful to me, and I fit into a size large wetsuit so stayed nice and warm. We had calm seas with great visibility and had 3-4 manta rays come up right underneath us and one of them even brushed up against us (you are not allowed to touch them yourselves). We also had a needlefish and small school of opelu eating plankton right by our faces. Absolutely magical experience that I will treasure forever. The Sea Quest crew was knowledgeable about sea life and even individual manga rays, as well as being professional and extremely clear with their instructions and communications. I felt totally comfortable in their hands. I highly recommend this trip!!
