Very nice time seeing the manta rays with Captain Nick, along with Zoe, Melissa, and another fine man who's name escapes me. Thanks guys!
My wife and I are early 60's yet we had no trouble. The crew was super courteous and responsive. They asked several times if anyone needed help with the equipment or in swimming. They provided narration while in the water as well. My wife tired in the water early and only had to cry out once to be escorted back to the boat with all speed and good humor.
We saw at least five mantas, including the big Bertha and even a baby. Their open gullets light up iridescently as they swim under the lighted board you're holding on to. It's amazing to see - but it will shock you at first when they get so close - dancing around you with flips and turns. I was brushed by them several times, but of course there was no danger. Besides the mantas, I saw other fish as well - a large school of something (can't remember the name) and other very colorful ones in the rocks below.
Hot chocolate and cookies on the way back to shore! We'd go again - we hope you do too!
