Before the trip even started, Simon the boat captain was rude to an older couple in front of the whole group. The couple mistakenly purchased "ride along" tickets instead of full-price experience tickets. Instead of handling it lightly and explaining what happened, he was loud & brash, bullying and embarrassing the couple. He then answered a phone call where a patron was lost, trying to find the meeting point. He was rude to her on the phone in front of everyone as well. The boat ride was fine, but his commentary was a bit off. He is supposedly the subject matter expert, but told us that Manta Rays have absolutely no predators when this is not the case-- sharks and killer whales love to eat them. It just made me wonder if the rest of what he told us was fact or fiction. At one point when we got out of the water, he then said something rude directly to me as well. I won't go into it here, but I won't recommend this operator. I didn't see a single person leave a tip for the crew, which was sad because the two younger guys were simply faced with guilt by association. Seeing the Manta Rays was amazing and a must-do activity, but find a different operator.
