The views are very good-- you walk around an enclosed area and get a 360 degree view. If you want to see the view from waaaay up high, this is a good option. The elevator ride is fun. It goes by quickly and isn't scary. On the way up and down two different videos play on the walls so it gives you something to watch while you experience the change in elevation. The first thing they do after you get out of the elevator is dramatically raise the blinds and then shepherd you into an area where someone tries to charge you $15 to borrow a tablet that doesn't do anything Google Maps and Wikipedia can't do. Skip that! Then you go to an area where they want to take your photo with a green screen. That's $25. Skip that too unless you love souvenir photos. The main thing is walking around and admiring the view. There are some dining options we didn't try and a small gift shop. That's it! Overall it's worth the price once, especially if you're with kids and experiencing the city for the first time. I can't imagine any of the VIP stuff is worth the add-on cost. As for reservations, I did reserve a timed ticket but when we went (early March) this didn't seem strictly necessary. There didn't seem to be a line at all BUT they had ropes up so I imagine it does get busy in peak tourist season and maybe at sunset. We had a clear day but it would absolutely not be worth it in cloud cover so weigh that possibility if booking an advance reservation. One other thing that makes this a good choice over Empire State building or Rockefellar Center building is the connection to 9/11. We visited right after spending 3 hours in the 9/11 museum so it was quite sobering to look down and think about the people who were on the top floors of the towers on that day.

Very nice...similar to Burj Khalifa experience. I would recommend to everyone. There is not much queue so you can go for standard tickets.
