Best experience to see the island, the tour guide was very good. The only thing was the duration of the tour. When booking it said 7-8 hours but in fact it went from 7-5:40

When I signed up for this trip it was advertised as max 20 in the group. Imagine my disappointment when I ended up on a full sized bus with 49 people on it. When you do a stop for 15 minutes you are barely off the bus before you need to be back on it. At every stop the guide and driver had a discussion on how much time to allow. I would think they would already know that! At the Byodo-in Temple we were told as we were pulling in that we needed to go on line on our phones and pay for our entrance. Some people had trouble so lost time at that stop. Twice our guide was late getting on the bus! A few weeks before the trip we were contacted and told that the Waimea valley, waterfall and botanical gardens were no longer one of the stops due to a change in the rules regarding buses no longer being allowed in. If you don't have a car, a trip like this will get you around to the east and north side of the island and you will see some amazing scenery. But know that there are at least 6-8 companies that do this and most of them stop in the same places around the same time, so places get crowded, bathroom lines get long, and all of them pick up in the same places in the morning so there is a lot of confusion getting everyone on the right bus. I will say lunch was pretty well organized.
