The captain was very knowledgeable on the animals and the area!! She seemed as excited about the finding the wildlife as we were!!

We saw three different groups of Orcas and it was amazing! We also saw dall sheep, dall porpoises (swimming with the boat) and a sea otter moseying on by. The views were spectacular. The boat was a larger ferry-like vessel, with warm indoor seating. We chose to sit on the back of the boat outside, and then ventured to the top outside part as well. The captain was very informative and crew were very helpful. There are a good number of people on the boat, so sometimes it was hard to peek through them to see everything, but patience is key and you will see something!

The Orca Quest cruise from Major Marine was epic!! We saw two pods of orcas and we got to watch them for quite a while (time is limited with each animal for conservation purposes). Our captain, who was a female but I can't remember her name, was fantastic! She found all the wildlife. Not only did we see two pods of orcas but we also saw tons of sea otters, mountain goats, sea lions, harbor seals, kittiwakes, and humpback whales. I thought the 4-hour time was a perfect amount of time, especially since it was a chilly day. The boat was really comfortable and we were free to walk all around to different sides and levels. It was nice to have an assigned table to stash our belongings and to come back to for a snack and to warm up. We took seasickness meds beforehand just in case, but we never felt sick at all (maybe the meds worked or maybe we didn't need them!)
