This tour departs from Orcas Island. The island can only be reached by the Washington State Ferry System. If your party is not already on island we recommend our Anacortes departure location.

We had a wonderful day for our fall trip. We saw many whales and different kinds of whales. We appreciated the protected cabin on the boat, the good information from the naturalists, and the scope of the trip in general. Much better than expected!

Six of us went on the excursion to Orcas Island and traveled all over the sound. It was a bit cold on the water so depending on the time of year dress appropriately. The crew was very interactive and informative. Saw Orcas, dolphin, seals, cliff dwelling birds, and a Peregrine Falcon. All in all, great day on the sound. It's a beautiful place and a memorable experience.

We took the sunset trip which had two great advantages: a beautiful sunset, but more importantly throughout the day the orcas had been spotted. Communication between boat captains ensures the best opportunity to see the pods once found. We were able to see the orcas hunt and feed on porpoise.
