Danielle was great, responsive and helpful, but that’s where the positives end. I was told via email we would have a 15 minute private lesson and then be allowed to paddle board without help or guidance for the remaining 45 minutes. My daughter and I were given about two minutes of “guidance” (maybe less) with the “attendant” putting the boards (which appeared quite old and chipped up) in the water, he didn’t help us get on the boards (knowing we had little experience), got on his board, briefly told us this is how you stand, paddled out about fifty feet with us and said, “Looks like you’ve got this” (we hadn’t attempted to stand yet) and left us unattended. There was no guidance on where to board, specifically what areas to avoid, or what to do if we needed help. After our one hour session ended, on time, we returned to the unattended dock; I had to get off the board unassisted while my daughter held onto my board, walk up and find help, (the attendant was nowhere to be seen) from someone from a boating company who helped us get the boards out of the water. We waited in the “shop” for over five minutes before the attendant came back (no other customers in sight) and told us to leave our life jackets “wherever” then left us again. We walked by the “shop” about two hours later and the same attendant was asleep in his chair with his feet up on the table. It was the worst experience we had in Tampa and very disappointing after such a positive email interaction with the owner.
