Kamoauli is a locally owned, all-wood, double-hulled, traditional Polynesian canoe (wa’a kaulua) offering a one-of-a-kind native Hawaiian cultural and educational experience. Come sail along the beautiful Waikiki coastline and become immersed in the stories and history of place (Mo‘olelo) reflected through the land (ʻāina) and ocean (moana) aboard a classroom on the sea. Our cultural practitioner and crew involve guests in hands on activities, using native materials to make food, clothing, tools, and other traditional items. Ask questions, explore the deck, nets and hulls, take part in poi (taro) pounding or just relax and enjoy. 'Ukulele music and traditional chants ('oli) with locally-sourced traditional food and drinks are all part of this unique experience.

*All ages are welcome, minors must be accompanied by an adult.

What a Beautiful authentic experience onboard the canoe! Great stories, ukuleleudic and hula for all to participate saving just enough time to honor the sun as it set over the ocean! The food was not alot but all from Hawaii land with fruits and tuna and ube. Costs support local school tours!

It was a very educational and interesting experience. Crew was excellent. I think it would be great for families with children. Our cruise only had 4 customers, so most of the time was spent not looking at the view, but looking at the crew speaking and signing in the center of the boat. My recommendation would be to conduct your educational talks and signing on the front of the boat so we could both listen to you and watch the entire sunset at the same time. I felt rude and uncomfortable turning my back on you so I could watch the sunset. The crew had a better view of the sunset than we did. Sorry, just being honest.

We brought our grandson Mack on the dinner cruise off Waikiki last evening and what a great decision! We were expecting nice views and dinner; but what we got was so much more and we loved every minute of it! Everyone was so kind and helpful. We learned so much about Hawaiian culture and cuisine and music and history! It literally was magical! Allowing us to be involved in food preparation and hula dancing added to the atmosphere and to the wonderful experience that we had. We can’t thank you enough for our experience and for all you do for the local youth and community. You are a special group of people and you do a wonderful service to tourists and your community! Loved the experience we had and really appreciate that you gave it to us to share with our grandson. We will always remember our time with you!
