Приватний повний доступ 9/11 Ground Zero: екскурсія, музей і обсерваторія

Огляд
This deeply personal tour of Ground Zero begins at the site of what served as a rescue center for victims and place for mementos after the attacks: St. Paul's Chapel. The historic church was miraculously unharmed when the Twin Towers fell.

You'll then walk to the 9/11 Memorial where we'll reflect on the lives lost in the World Trade Center attacks. See "Reflecting Absence," the largest man-made waterfalls on the continent. Your private guide will share the meaning behind the memorial, stories from the day, and how New Yorkers came together in the aftermath.

Afterward, visit the 9/11 Museum with your skip-the-line ticket for a self-guided tour of the exhibits and artifacts. Next, walk over to Freedom Tower. In the lobby, you can watch "Voices," a film about the Twin Towers and Freedom Tower, before riding the SkyPod elevator 1,250 feet up. Visit the tri-level One World Observatory for panoramic views of NYC, immersive LED displays, and the See Forever Theater.

The first part of the tour involved Ryan giving us background and explanations before we went to the reflecting pools. We went into the Occulus - stunning-and visited the very close by Fire Station and their memorial. We then went to the pools. The hush here, in the midst of the city noise, had an immediate effect. The attention to detail and the care taken with the memorials is incredibly impressive. I am choking up again just thinking about it and what it means. St Pauls Chapel is a real miracle, to think there was not even a broken window beggars belief. At this point Ryan said his farewells to leave us to visit the new tower and museum on our own. Ryan was very knowledgable, very patient and very open to questions. He really enhanced our visit and, when we recommend this tour, as we will, we will tell friends to request him. Entrance to the tower is timed and there is a short presentation at the top and then the stunning reveal - I won't spoil this for anyone. We then went to the viewing area where the all round views of Manhatten and its islands are unbelievable. The museum is very interesting, factual and shows the results of what is probably the most documented disaster ever but it is also very, very emotional. I would not take young children in here and would be very careful even with young teenagers so please think carefully about this if you have younger people in your group. However we would not have missed this and are very glad that Ryan was our guide.

This was a very moving, emotional and must see tour. It does bring back memories but it also provides insight and information on other aspects not previously thought about. It provides a perspective from NY’s point of view. Also it seems as though little is publicized any more on what is still going on 18 years later to rebuild what was lost. Ryan does an excellent job in presenting info and answering questions. He is patient and very knowledgeable. Glad we did it!

Ray was an excellent tour guide. He had substantial knowledge and points to be made about that terrible experience. Out of it he still found some good points also. The experience in a whole was heartbreaking and unforgettable. I will definitely refer friends and family. I may even do it again one day.
