Captain G contacted us the night before our trip to confirm all the details. The morning of the trip he contacted us again to let us know that it was going to be windy and a bit choppy. We were given the option of the rescheduling if we wanted. Captain G was very flexible so we decided to go ahead but went an 1 1/2 hour earlier. The directions Captain G sent were very easy to follow and we found Kawaihae south harbour and Captain G was waiting for us with everything ready to go. After a thorough but quick safety briefing we were on our way and got some great information about the significance of the site in native Hawaiian history. The snorkel site was excellent, a known cleaning spot for turtles and we were lucky enough to see quite a few swimming around and coming up for air. There was also a huge variety of fish swimming around, but the turtles are obviously the main attraction. Captain G was a great guide, checking on all of us throughout and always ready to answer any questions we had. Overall it was a really memorable experience and the personal touch from Captain G made it more so. We’d highly recommend Captain G and Oceanic Patrol and if we’re lucky enough to be back here during whale season we will definitely try to book again.

Private tour with captain g, really cool boat ride while he told us the mythology of Hawaii and the area we would be snorkeling. Best snorkeling I’ve ever had as captain g knew the behaviors of the marine life and how to interact with them
