Hands down - the BEST tour guide in NYC!!! Our family has been on 6 tours with Sheldon and each time, we see more and learn more than we thought possible! He is so knowledgeable and such fun and shows us places we would never have known to see or explore on our own. It is time and money well-spent and we look forward to tour #7!

This was so much fun! Sheldon responded quickly and got us all set up for a last minute tour of NYC. Our travel plans home from Orlando got so messed up with cancelled flights and rebooked on a different day, we found ourselves looking at an 8 hour layover in JFK. We would still have to be on a plan for 5 more hours , so sitting around in an airport sounded miserable. I called Sheldon the day before and he hooked us up! It was the perfect solution! The 4 hour tour gave us plenty of time in the city and we talked it through with Sheldon to make sure we’d have enough time to get to/from the airports for our flights and it worked out great. The rides to/from the airport was extra, but that was only fair—I’ve been to NYC enough to know what private rides between the city and airport costs and it was fair. Our 4 hour tour didn’t start until we arrived at our first site in the city and meet Chris, our tour guide. Our family of 7 was traveling all with carry ons and it was great. Our luggage could stay in the mini bus the whole time. They monitored our flights and gave us all the contact info for our driver and guide. We walked out to the curb at the airport and our driver rolled up right then. Impeccable timing. Gee, our driver, was wonderful and fun to chat with. It was so great he was always able to drop us off and pick us up quickly the whole tour. Chris, our tour guide made the whole thing fun for our family with kids ranging in age from 4-15. We were tired from traveling but this tour just made it so easy to see and do soo much. (We’d been walking all over Disney World for days) My husband and I had been to NYC 4 times before and we saw new things and went new places. We also learned awesome details about the city and the places we had been before. I appreciated how he customized the tour to our family. Sheldon called and texted to give us all the information we needed. Warned us about the rainy weather. Even grabbed some umbrellas for us. Got us all taken care of on such short notice. Turned a travel nightmare into a great adventure!

My husband turned 40 this month, and he’s never been to New York. I wanted to give him the ABSOLUTE BEST EXPERIENCE of the city, so I happily obliged to book with Best New York Tours. I knew it was going to be good; I didn’t expect it to be SO AMAZING! Within 24 hours of booking, I received a warm and welcoming email from Sheldon, and from that moment, I knew he had a vested interest in making our tour personally unique and special to us. We exchanged emails and texts in the days leading up to our tour, and I felt like I had a personal NYC expert I could call on any time! The tour hadn’t even officially started, and I was receiving so many interesting nuggets of information. Sheldon knew all the best tips and tricks for getting around the city and making the most of activities that didn’t necessarily include the tour. I was so appreciative of his knowledge and expertise! Sheldon is a walking Wikipedia of New York. He’s well versed in the culture, history and geography of the city and its surrounding areas. He knows all of the best places to eat, drink, take photos and create memorable moments you’ll remember for the rest of your life. He’s personable, friendly and knowledgeable, always eager to offer an interesting tidbit to pique your interest, based on your personal tastes. Our ride around the city was comfortable, relaxing and exciting. My husband and I were treated like VIPs, and there was never a dull or boring moment. Sheldon keeps you engaged, and frankly, thoroughly entertained in the most fun ways! I’ve been to New York City before, and I can say that there truly isn’t a better tour offered. Sheldon is passionate about offering the best experience of New York and ensuring you have a great time. I’m grateful for Sheldon’s hospitality and would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this tour to anyone.
