Let me start by saying how absolutely wonderful Sheldon is! He’s not only knowledgeable he is very kind & a lot of fun! Our 11 YO son ended up having such a wonderfully beautiful connection with him! The reason we chose to visit NYC was because of our sons passion for Skyscrapers. I am so happy we found Sheldon. I almost went with a basic run-of-the-mill tour and that would’ve been a big mistake on our part. The love & passion Sheldon has for NYC is very evident. It’s amazing how much history he knows & can tell you about. It’s like taking a tour with Encyclopedia Brown! Seriously, this is the perfect thing for him to be doing. He gave us great advice for visiting the Empire State building & doing a water tour to see the Statue of Liberty . Be smart & take his advice! We ended our tour with a subway ride to Times Square. He guided us on how to use the subway which we used for the next 5 days, saving a ton of money on taxis! Sheldon took us to an amazing pizza place – take Sheldon‘s advice on what slice to get! He also gave us great tips for other places to grab a bite. We were lucky enough to hit most of them. The SUV was luxe & our driver was great! I have to say that the hardest part of our tour ending was saying goodbye to Sheldon. It’s like saying goodbye to one of your best friends or family that you actually like! Sheldon, thank you for the most excellent tour, the wonderful history you told us about and all your tips and advice! You are indeed the BEST NYC tour!

This tour was nothing short of spectacular. It’s hard to imagine that Sheldon is able to remember the amount of history that he shared with us. His love for his city is very apparent. Sheldon tailored our tour around what we wanted to see and he was a storyteller at every stop. In addition to all the great sites, we had some amazing food. At the end of our trip, our group said we would like to do this again when we go back to visit New York. It was the highlight of our trip.

I almost NEVER write a review. I figure if its good, no need to review, but this was the absolute best I have ever been on. Sheldon Lapidus was our guide. We hit the three food things we wanted to do. Pizza, cookies, hot dog and a tour of the "real" New York. We wanted a great "flavor" of New York and he delivered. He was just simply fantastic. He is the no nonsense hard hitting with backstories and history galore. He "read" our group of eight very seasoned travelers perfectly. We were engaged and laughing and crying and learning. It was worth every penny.
